JUMPING KOI SCROLL
A unique design and hand
made koi scroll was created by artist and koi hobbyist Sandi Soedjono of
Arlington, Texas. This custom hand crafted scroll utilizes the best
designer fabrics, silk and suede. The design is essentialized with
numerous textures and is monochromatic.
The Asian culture
greatly admires the carp/koi as a symbol of good luck, persistence, and
strong health. The fable of the jumping carp/koi tells that only they
are strong enough to swim up surging rivers and waterfalls to reach the
headwaters and spawn. To reward the koi/carp for it’s journey it will be
changed into a mighty dragon for it's next life.
The Jumping Koi Scroll
measures 17-1/2" by 53". The dragonfly motif design is a natural accent
for the jumping koi. The kanji symbol translates to "harmony".
Special Thanks to Sandi
Soedjono for creating and donating this beautiful Jumping Koi Scroll to
be auctioned with the proceeds going to Project KHV. Also special thanks
to Koi Bito for letting us utilize their auction site.
